GIRLS - what happpens to ingrown hairs on legs ..? HELP?

If you just let them be and dont try to pick them out with a needle? Would you be ok if you left it, or something needs to be done to get rid of it? Oh and also what does exfoliating consist of ( people said that to prevent them I need to exfoliate - and I thought I already do that, but I guess not....? ) Help please!!!!

If you don't extract them and they don't emerge themselves, they can stay under the skin for a long long time - probably till the old skin layers slough off. I don't think they do any harm though.

Exfoliation is just removing dead skin cells by scrubbing or using a liquid which dissolves them (like toner). To prevent the ingrowing hairs, do it everyday before the hairs start to grow back.
