What is the best way to get rid of hair (legs and such)?

I was just wondering, I've always shaved my legs, but I for some reason am horrible with a razor and end up butchering my legs - and then when I dry off, find patches that I could've sworn I got! I'm starting to get fed up with shaving (yes, I've tried all different sorts of razors...I think I'm just inept). Plus, I get ingrown hairs and bumps - I change my razor frequently (I heard every 4 shaves) and use lotion afterward (Aveeno), but it just doesn't work.

I don't want to get waxed...I have a low pain thresh hold I think - it just wouldn't work.

Does anyone use lotions like Nair, etc? How do they work? How long do you stay smooth? Does using a lotion prevent ingrown hairs?

I've had the ame problem and

i find the creams inly work if the hair is long, not on the stubble. What I found works the best is using a moisturizing body wash as a shaving lotion. The best is Oil of Olay's body butter. It shaves smoothly and leaves your skin very moisturized afterwards. The trick is using a man's razor, Mach3, because they are made to give a smooth shave on a man's face so they are sharp but will pivot around so you won't cut yourself. Afterwards clean the razor with a little alcohol and you're good!

I haven't been overly impressed with most creams, but some people love them. Just try one or try the Veet.

Nair and Veet really suck. You can be allergic to it, and it leaves a bad smell. I think I can do better with a razor that been used 50 times then using Nair on my legs, dose not get all the hair off either.

yes... try Nair... Veet has a nasty smell to it, but their basically the same. Hair stays gone for 2 to 3 days
