What is the best treatment for ingrown hairs amongst black males?

I get normal tapes (shape ups) like most black males and somtimes it seems to worsen the problem not long afterwards maybe a week or so they appear in the skin and I have to use a needle or safety pin to remove them. HELP

What is the best treatment for ingrown hairs amongst black males?

I had a boyfriend with this problem. I went to a beauty supply store (that specialized in african-american products) and purchased something called Skin Tight. You are supposed to use it on your face after shaving (I think). Also because I was concerned about the shaving cream he was using (it didn't moisturize enough) I went to The Body Shop and purchased Shave Cream for men ($13). Used together, they reduced his ingrown hair. If you are going to the barber for your shape ups, you have to be sure to do the maintenance in between trips. HTH.

Magic Shave is popular amongst the brothers for this reason.

Try to exfoliate the areas where they are coming up. Everyday if possible. This should help them to clear up.

How long does it take for ingrown hairs on the genitals 2 go away?

WHAT KIND OF WAX DO U BUY 4 hair removal?

shaving irritates my skin and leaves me w/ like ingrown hairs and blk spots on my skin. i want to wax but im not sure wut to buy any where to buy it 4rm. and hell im scarred to let any1 else do it. we've all seen 40 yr old virgin. oUCH! CAN somebody please help me. wut should i do?

WHAT KIND OF WAX DO U BUY 4 hair removal?

All of these options you can get at WalMart:

Veet: it's not wax it's bladeless shaving and it works up to a week and it won't take your skin off like Nair.

Sally Hansen: she has wax products as well in the same area.

Nads: you've seen the commercials on tv.

You can find these in the the same area as the bubble baths at WalMart.

They also have "MENS" waxes and hair removal stuff there as well but it's in the same aisle as the mens deoderant or razors.

Good Luck

WHAT KIND OF WAX DO U BUY 4 hair removal?

I recommend using Nair roll on wax, you find it in the cosmetic line of Walmart. But if you are scarred, then use Nair hair removal roll on lotion. It works fast and only takes 3 to 5 mins. That will help with your ingrown hair situation too. The Chamomile will deminish the dark spots.

Idk if i should pluck my upper lip hair?

i have light skin and ive only been plucking some of it and im like afraid to pluck all of it cuz i heard u get ingrown hairs, and every1 says it hurts but for me it dosent.

Just pluck it, I have never heard off ingrown hairs on your lip, unless the hair is super thick.

OUCH! that sounds like it hurts! well idk but if u have like skin (sorry didnt look at ur pic[IF U HAVE ONE]) u can bleach it . sorry never has this problem

Idk if i should pluck my upper lip hair?

Plucking hair can cause ingrown hairs. Since you have light skin and you mite be plucking a lot, your skin will get red and won't look that flattering. Go to a slaon and get it waxed. The redness will dye down in an ahour or two. The redness from plucking might take up to 1 day for the redness to dye down.

Good Luck.

Idk if i should pluck my upper lip hair?

i got mine waxed once..then after that i keep up with it by plucking it..ive been doing this for a while now and ive never seen one ingrown hair lol 閳?br>Idk if i should pluck my upper lip hair?

Wax it or pluck it. Hair on your lip happens, and will probably happen more as you get older.

Btw never bleach it... bleaching just makes it more obvious looking.

Idk if i should pluck my upper lip hair?

why don't you wax...i don't think you should pluck all of it...wax it and if you have a few left over pluck those...but not all of them!

Idk if i should pluck my upper lip hair?

if you're not happy with the facial hair , then go ahead.

Idk if i should pluck my upper lip hair?

if you dont want to pluck or wax ( i do both, and i dont get ingrown hiar) you can bleach it blonde so you cant notice it. or you can get threading done, its like fast plucking.

Idk if i should pluck my upper lip hair?

wax it, pluck it, or use nair.

Hi, i'm having problems with ingrown hairs when shaving.?

How often do you change your blade? A dull blade is more likely to cause ingrown hairs by not cutting the hair as sharply causing it to curl thus causing ingrown hairs.

Try a brand new blade with a moisturizing style of shaving cream and take your time. Then immediately rinse and lather on a good quality moisturizer.

I hope this helps!

Hi, i'm having problems with ingrown hairs when shaving.?

Try using Tend Skin lotion to reduce the number of ingrown hairs after shaving.

There is also a great shaving product called Ultra Shave that contains grape seed extract, which is 15000 times stronger than vitamin E. Its an exceptional skin healer.

When it comes to shaving irritations, both Tend Skin and Ultra Shave are highly effective and potent product.

If you want to see the effects of laser hair removal, then you could try a home laser hair removal kit like the Rio. For a fraction of the price of salon treatments. Lasers generally work best on light skinned dark haired people.

Check out the links below for further information.

Most of the time, they are pimple like, if that is the case then you can take a hot shower and gently squeeze them out. but that can only happen when they are a few weeks old. You'll see them as blackheads or bumps....you can also use a loofah type scrubber and that will also help........good luck..

Why do I get so many ingrown hairs? I shave properly.. wash my face properly.. still get them, any a

Ingrown hair is the result of hair getting cut or broken below skin level and then growing into the side of the hair follicle instead of out.

Depending on the location of the hair, you have two options for freeing it:

Allow it to continue growing and eventually free itself. This method works best when combined with daily moisturizing and gentile exfoliation to remove any dead skin that could be blocking the hair閳ユ獨 escape. If a pustule forms, gently squeezing it can cause the hair to pop up to the surface.

Using a freshly sterilized pair of tweezers or a needle, you can fish the tip out from underneath this surface of the skin.

Freeing the hair holds the advantage of allowing the skin to heal before another hair removal attempt, when coupled with the prevention techniques in the next section it will offer you the best chance of eliminating ingrown hair completely.

Witch Hazel is a fantastic remedy !!! But only apply as needed.

For razor burn and razor bumps, pat the effected area with apple cidar vinegar.

Simply put aloe vera on the effected area. This also helps with razor bumps.

Baby rash cream works wonders. After u shave rub some on.

Exfoliate

Use a gentile exfoliant every day to remove built up dead skin cells that can clog the surface of your skin and trap hair, causing it to become ingrown. Exfoliating pads, loofahs, and mild scrubs work well. Look for cleansers that contain Salicylic acid.

=)

Why do I get so many ingrown hairs? I shave properly.. wash my face properly.. still get them, any advice?

You need to exfoliate your skin regularly. Scrubs work by removing the top layer of dead skin cells that tend to dull your complexion.By removing pollutants deposited from previously used cosmetics and shaving creams, healthy skin cells are allowed to come to the surface.

Why do I get so many ingrown hairs? I shave properly.. wash my face properly.. still get them, any advice?

Someone said that you need to exfoliate and this is true, but for some of us, me included, this is just not enough. There is a product called Tend Skin that works for me. It is carried at beauty supply stores and drugstores. It works for the ingrowns I used to get on my legs.

How do you get rid of ingrown hairs and razor burn?

After shaving down below?

How do you get rid of ingrown hairs and razor burn?

Ok so I have 2 suggestions...

1. Wax....brazilian! I got it done and its amazing. No ingrown hairs or razor burn...its been 3 weeks and still don't need to go back for another waxing session!!!!

2. There is this stuff at Walmart that works amazing....I think its called Bikini Zone or something...its in the shaving isle and its a blue gel with blue beads in it. Small bottle maybe $4....I promise its there...just can't remember the exact name. Anyways that stuff is amazing too....I used it before and never once worried about razor burn. Ingrown hairs with shaving are always going to happen. Not really a way to get rid of those...

My suggestion is waxing though. The results are wonderful and you don't have to worry about it at all. You go once every month for the first 3 months then after that you go when you need it and the hair is long enough.

Email me if you have any questions!

Good Luck..

Wax it hunny!! Prevent them before they start! Though, women will have glands that swell either pre menstrual or post menstrual that imitate ingrown hairs...but never surface. They just swell and hurt like hell. DO NOT pick at these!!! As a woman gets older they appear more frequently, in some women. My OB/GYN told me they are a "scent gland", in layman's terms...sort of like a female dog when in heat, we as women, do not smell anything, but put off hormones that attract men. Hope this helps!

My hubby has a lot of ingrown hairs whenever he dosen't shave for?

it takes a while for the body to adjust, but it will end up evening out. I used to have this problem bad all over my face and neck. It shouldn't be more then a week or so, if the problem persists consider a dermatologist for a scrub or lotion.

My hubby has a lot of ingrown hairs whenever he dosen't shave for?

For men it is a good idea to use a scrub that kinda roughs up their face in between shaving. Also making sure the razor is sharp.

My hubby has a lot of ingrown hairs whenever he dosen't shave for?

the condition might be called pseudofolliculitis barbae. but it's hard to say without actually seeing it. difficult to treat, i'm not sure if the VA will be able to do much.

How do you get rid of ingrown hairs round the bikini area?

Use antibacterial soap. it get rid of them.

How do you get rid of ingrown hairs round the bikini area?

First thing you want to do is gently exfoliate with one of those bath puffs (you can get one for like 94 cents at Wal-Mart). Use an antibacterial soap like Dial around the area to prevent the ingrown hairs from becoming infected. Try to avoid shaving your bikini area for a few days so the hairs can work themselves out and you don't irritate them any further. Finally, always replace your razor blade every 2 weeks or so, because dull blades seem to be the cause of ingrown hairs.

How do you get rid of ingrown hairs round the bikini area?

Use an antibacterial soap and if you have hair in the bikini area, shave it off because ingrown hairs sometimes form in areas where hair has been allowed to grow too long. -Queen of Broken Hearts

Any suggestions? I get razor bumps around my neck area, currently using a blade (mach 3), will changing to an electric razor cause more problems or help?

Which is better for razor bumps (ingrown hairs) on the neck, electric shavers or blades?

don't try to shave over ingrown hairs. You need to put warm compress on the skin and then exfoliate to remove the skin covering the hair if it's not to deep. Use a loofah and maybe a mild facial scrub or something. Then always make sure your skin is soft before shaving and use a good shave gel. %26amp; a good rasor. and use an after shave.

Is there a way to prevent ingrown hairs?

Is there a way to prevent ingrown hairs?

well, i think there are some beauty products out there that will help you

Is there a way to prevent ingrown hairs?

dont shave against the grain

Is there a way to prevent ingrown hairs?

Bikini line ones are gross, aren't they? Use warm water and soap to shave (for less of the bumps). Best cure (I took it) was just one treatment (supposed to be many but it hurt too bad) of laser treatment. I thought it really hurt, I used a numbing cream the doc prescibed and I used ice and it still hurt. But, still worth it. Woulkd I do it again? NO. I thought I was on fire.

Is there a way to prevent ingrown hairs?

Yes, the best way to prevent ingrown hairs is to wash the area again AFTER shaving and immediately apply a moisturizer. This keeps the skin soft and supple enough for the hair to grow through, AND prevents acne by unclogging pores. Use an alcohol based cleaner also, and a deep moisturizer in the bikini area.

How do you get rid of ingrown hairs? I get them all the time and they hurt. I shave with new razors and stil?

Try a product called black salve. You'll be able to find it at most local drug stores (talk to the pharmacist if you need help). Black salve is a drawing agent, you'll have to place it on a small band-aid (to fit in the lower region), and place the band-aid of the hair. You may need to repeat this for a couple of days, but it'll get the gair out painlessly.

hi, if you have these frequently and they get really inflamed then you have foliculitis. warm weather, pants rubbing on your skin, bacteria, and even parasites can cuase this conditon. do you have any other strange things happening to your body, how old are you. foliculits many times is also an effect that happens when other problems are present, such as sjogrens syndrome. hence the question about anything else happening. regardless, there are cremes and medications your doc can give you to help. try not to mess with them, they can get worse and spread. read up on foliculitis and you shall learn.

This is very common in that area. Pubic hair is course and curly and that is why it grows inward. I don't think there is anything you can do about this. You might try waxing instead of shaving to get rid of the hair at the root.

So I know that I have ingrown hairs on my vagina so I pop them but they just keep coming back!!! What can I do

Its most often a result of shaving. Shave in the direction of hair, not against it. It wont be as close of a shave, but it will help the problem. Using a trimmer instead of a razor or wax will almost completly cut it out. It is essentially an infection, that starts simply with the irritation of the way the hair is growing. Follicle gets irritated, then bacteria gets to it and it gets infected.

Contrary to someone saying you should use a poof, you should not. Poofies notoriosly harbor bacteria as well as fungus and often contributes to the infection. If you do use a poofy, wash in hot water with strong anti bacterial detergent (not bleech, the fungus will actually feed on the bleech) then blow dry with cool air after every use. Walmart actually has cheap ones for abou 2 or 3 for a dollar. I actually throw them away after each use. Yeah, it costs a few dollars a week, depending on if you take multiple showers a day, but, you dont get all the bacteria and fungi breeding in it.

So I know that I have ingrown hairs on my vagina so I pop them but they just keep coming back!!! What can I do

stop shaving, use a cream that softens the hairs

Wax it hunny!! Prevent them before they start! Though, women will have glands that swell either pre menstrual or post menstrual that imitate ingrown hairs...but never surface. They just swell and hurt like hell. DO NOT pick at these!!! As a woman gets older they appear more frequently, in some women. My OB/GYN told me they are a "scent gland", in layman's terms...sort of like a female dog when in heat, we as women, do not smell anything, but put off hormones that attract men. Hope this helps!

Is it possible to have chronic ingrown hairs?

I get these bumps, sometimes they hurt in my vaginal area and underarm area, they keep coming back though and its annoying.

I never had sex so I know it isn't an STD.

Sometimes one or two of them look like kinda big whiteheads or cystic acne and it will have pus, it will break somehow and crust over(only in the vaginal area).

I don't want to tell my doctor until I think I know what it is. Is it some kind of food allergy?

Does anyone have any idea what it might be? Please don't suggest a doctor check me out, I know that much.

Is it possible to have chronic ingrown hairs?

If you have dark, thick, curly/wavy hair, you are most prone to chronic ingrown hairs. Never shave your underarms or bikini area - use wax or an epilator. You must gently exfoliate the areas to remove dead cells and prevent hairs from ingrowing. The pus occurs when a follicle is irritated, much like acne.

How can you get rid of ingrown hairs?

it hurts when you pick them out and it leaves a scar. how else can i get them out?

How can you get rid of ingrown hairs?

It took me many years to figure this one out i have fine thin straight hair and it was sucha prob for sooo many years after I began shaving. Exfoliation is the answer. The dead skin needs to be removed so that the hair can grow out. I use a good loofah and various other products for exfoliatin that I purchase at Bath and Body Works. It takes a couple weeks or more for you to get everything de-ingrown, but do it daily and you will be happy with the results. and also use a good moisturizer after you shower and ex-fol. This too will help to remove the bumps because your skin is softer and it is easier for the hair to get out of it's follicle that is being hindered from growing . be vigiliant if your are serious about this and do not pick at the bumps. I had a very beautiful friend that could have been a model but she wouldn

't leave them alone and iot left alot of scars on her legs

How can you get rid of ingrown hairs?

best thing i have found is take a moist (or damp) warm (or hot depends if you can handle the heat) towel and press it against the infected area. do it 3 or 4 times a day and keep it clean. it will open the pores and all that crap will come out.

How can you get rid of ingrown hairs?

good question i need to know this too, i have a lot of them, ill star this and come back to read answers

How can you get rid of ingrown hairs?

Exfoliate. That's the only thing I've found that helps. And the other person is right - don't pick or it scars. Exfoliating will help loosen existing ingrown hairs as well as prevent new ones. And shave often. I found I had the most problems when I would wait more than a day or two between shaving.

How do i stop from getting ingrown hairs and red bumps and itchiness when i shave my pubes?

Do it in the shower. Let the hot water warm up your "downstairs" and open the hair follicles. Use shaving gel or cream or foam or whatever to let the razor slide easier. When you get out put some lotion on (just a really light coat). OR use an electric razor. It wouldn't get too close to the skin and irritate it. It also won't get as close of a shave as you probably want. When the hair grows back it's gonna be itchy. There's nothing you can really do about that. Good luck!

Lotion, I would think would be somewhat problematic due to the area that is being shaved. The pubic area is a large traffic area for sweat which is swarming with bacteria and if the lotion locks moisture on the skin you may have far worse problems than ingrown hairs and red bumps. The itchiness will probably still be there though.

All I can suggest is soaking the area with warm/hot water before shaving, shave in the direction of the hair, don't go over an area too many times with the razor/shaver, possibly use a shaving cream but I don't think it's necessary, shave regularly [3-4times a week, just not too often where the skin that you are removing during shaving (yes....you are removing a layer of skin or dermis) doesn't have time to grow back...thusly irritation i.e red bumps] or trim the pubes first with scissors or a beard/hair trimmer before using a razor or just don't shave at all and save you the problem unless you're wearing speedos and you have afros coming out of your trunks.

How do i stop from getting ingrown hairs and red bumps and itchiness when i shave my pubes?

don't use a razor, a razor gets the hairs too close to the skin and they grow back weird, try using a electric trimer, a good one of choice is the Conair personal trimmer, it's what i use and i have no problems, plus the trimmer is small so it can shave better and the ladies love it.

How do i stop from getting ingrown hairs and red bumps and itchiness when i shave my pubes?

Try waxing it should help with the ingrown hair problem and you dont have to do it as often and it doesnt itch when its growing back or when you sweat. Ide go to the beautician for it though as they know what there doing because with waxing you have to do it a certain way or you could damge the skin and it wont work if you dont put it on a take it of a certain way.

If it doesn't heal itself, you have to find the hair, and pull the hair out of the skin (not off, just so it's on the outside), but don't pluck the root out.

never shave against hair, always shave in the direction hair grows

Why do I always get ingrown hairs if I wax? I dont get them is I shave?

If waxing is done improperly it will break the hair off causing ingrowns instead of pulling out the root. You don't get them from shaving because it just cuts the hair off instead of pulling or breaking.

Why do I always get ingrown hairs if I wax? I dont get them is I shave?

In addition you should make sure you go to waxing when you hair is at a proper length. Any good estatitian will make sure you are waxed at the right time. There is good after waxing treatments to prevent ingrown

How do i get rid of ingrown hairs in the lower region? I know it's not an std either. Any home

hi, if you have these frequently and they get really inflamed then you have foliculitis. warm weather, pants rubbing on your skin, bacteria, and even parasites can cuase this conditon. do you have any other strange things happening to your body, how old are you. foliculits many times is also an effect that happens when other problems are present, such as sjogrens syndrome. hence the question about anything else happening. regardless, there are cremes and medications your doc can give you to help. try not to mess with them, they can get worse and spread. read up on foliculitis and you shall learn.

What's best to avoid ingrown hairs: Wax, shave or cream?

Ingrown hairs are also known as razor bumps, because they're usually aggravated by shaving. Another term for them is pseudofolliculitis barbae. Pseudo means false; the bumps appear to be infections of the oil gland or hair follicle (folliculitis), but they aren't. The skin does, however, become irritated at the point the hair actually curls into the skin.

Women are not immune to this shaving malady. It happens sometimes after shaving the places a skimpy bikini won't cover.

The solution for both men and women: Stop shaving altogether. Short of that, following are a few other home remedies to consider:

漏2007 Publications International, Ltd.

Shaving with the grain can

help stop ingrown hairs.

Go with the grain. Shave in the direction your hair grows. Facial hair grows downward on the cheeks, straight out on the chin, downward below the jawbone, and upward along the lower neck, usually below the Adam's apple.

Hang up your razor for a day or two. Particularly if your razor bumps have become infected, you will do more damage if you shave over them. Giving the skin a break from the razor, and washing the affected areas with an antibacterial soap in the meantime, will usually end the inflammation.

Shave more often. Shaving more frequently, but with a lighter touch, can help prevent ingrown hairs. This applies especially to young men whose beards are just coming in.

Lift them out. Before shaving, take a straight pin, a pair of tweezers, or a beard pick and carefully lift out any ingrown hairs. Don't pick or dig at them, which can damage the skin further and open the door to infection.

Get ready to shave. To lessen the trauma from shaving, prepare your beard and your skin before you pick up that razor. Make sure your skin is softened with warm water or towels and is wet from tap water or the shower. Never apply foam or soap to a dry surface.

Avoid electric. Electric shavers sometimes cause the hair to go in all sorts of directions -- up and down, back and forth, round and round. That's no help at all when you're trying to shave with the grain.

Train your whiskers. Shave in the exact same direction (using the directions given in the first remedy) every day, and don't press too hard. After a few weeks, your whiskers will be growing out straight. Well, at least they won't be so curly.

Change your blade. If you're using a double- or triple-track razor, you're probably shaving too close for the good of your skin. Switch to a single-track, disposable razor or, better still, an old-fashioned safety razor, so you can adjust the closeness of your shave.

Sharpen up. A dull razor blade will make the problem worse. Use a new razor blade every time you shave.

What's best to avoid ingrown hairs: Wax, shave or cream?

shaving works best for me - wax is terrible for ingrown hairs - not sure about the creams...

What's best to avoid ingrown hairs: Wax, shave or cream?

What's best to avoid ingrown hairs: Wax, shave or cream?

Waxing would be your best choice, although there is pain associated with it. Waxing pulls hairs out by the roots, which eliminates ingrown hairs.

Exfoliating could help because it takes away dead skin that layers up over the skin and gets in the way of a razor to do a good job. How do u get rid of ingrown hairs and razor bumps in the bikini area?

i have heard that if you use spray deo..it will keep the hair from becoming ingrown..also a loofah or a bath poof used on the days you dont shave in the area..will keep the hair follicle open enough that you wont get a razor bump...if you have on particular spot that is a problem..try to tweeze the hair out..once you get the hair out the inflammation will go down.

I have a bunch of ingrown hairs on my legs?

i tried scrubbing before shaving and not shaving but just scrubbing and they're still there. what will work?

I have a bunch of ingrown hairs on my legs?

If they are just ingrown hairs and not cysts or boils you just need to keep your legs DRY and CLEAN. You might want to look up info on Folliculitis, I have it and it's not fun, it keeps recurring and shaving doesn't help. Use the soap Hibiclens (it's in a small blue bottle, almost looks like peroxide) and wash your legs every day with it. It keeps bacteria out and hopefully your legs will clear up, if not you might have an infection and need antibiotics but try the soap first. Good Luck!

Ingrown hair is a common problem for men and women. Use this list to easily identify the causes and effects of ingrown hair.

CAUSES

1. Skin suffering from lack of moisture

2. Stiff beard hair

3. Embedded oil in the hair follicles

4. Build up of dead skin cells in the pores and on the surface of the skin can cause ingrown hairs - some are more prone to this than others due to genetics

5. Coarse curly hair growing in a curved hair follicle

6. Improper shaving technique with a blade such as too close a shave

7. Hair removal methods such as shaving, waxing, tweezing, electrolysis, often irritate the hair follicle.

Dead cells can accumulate at the site of the irritation and form papule which can also contain pus while the skin heals.

While this process continues any hair in the area can get trapped under the formation and is prevented from exiting the skin properly. Ingrown hair is the result.

EFFECTS

1. Constant tenderness

2. Trapped, ingrown hairs cause inflammation which result in the body forming papule - a small, raised, abnormality on the skin commonly known as a bump giving rise to the term 'razor bumps'

3. The body can also respond by producing a pustule - a blister on the skin containing pus

4. An infected pustule can become ruptured resulting in bleeding

5. Itching

6. Tingling

7. Pain - mild or severe

8. Hard, prominent, irregular scar tissue in the skin in chronic cases

Additional advice: If you carry out skin exfoliation regularly with a loofah or mesh sponge after waxing or shaving, you'll take off the thin layer of skin that's trapping the ingrown hairs and set them free.

Wet the loofah and squeeze to soften if preferred, then gently massage the skin, especially dry, rough areas.

Do not use the loofah on broken skin. Some beauty advisors believe using a loofah once a week for skin exfoliation is enough to keep the area exfoliated. Exfoliating too much will dry the skin and leave it sensitive and susceptible to ingrown hair.

Recommendation: To prevent and eliminate ingrown hair use Ingrown Hair Treatment. Click here for details: http://www.1bodycare.com/159490-iht

Any way to prevent or treat ingrown hairs other than laser?

Okay you need to get a bottle of Tendskin or better yet make your own. It's expensive to buy and a popular recipe is floating around the internet! I tried the recipe and like it as much as the orginal Tendskin. Here it is

What you need:

Uncoated aspirin

70% alcohol

Witch Hazel

A measuring cup/bottle

2 bottles used to shake mixtures

1 8oz or more bottle/container to keep finished product

What you do:

1. Pour 5.5oz of 70% alcohol into one bottle.

2. Drop 18 uncoated aspirins into the alcohol. Cap bottle and shake.

3. Pour 2.5oz of witch hazel into the second bottle.

4. Drop 8 uncoated aspirins into the witch hazel. Cap bottle and shake.

5. Wait awhile (30 minutes to a whole day) for the aspirins to dissolve in the liquids. Shake periodically to help dissolve aspirin and mix. NOTE: not all of the aspirin will dissolve. That閳ユ獨 ok- some of it never will.

6. Now combine both the alcohol and witch hazel mixtures together into one bottle. Make sure you shake it up before you pour them out so you also get the aspirin residue into the new bottle.

This last bottle is your Tendskin! Use 1-2 a day. Reduce usage if you experience dryness or flaking or irritation. DO NOT USE IF YOU ARE ALLERGIC TO ASPIRIN. Make sure you shake it well before each use.

What do you do about ingrown hairs?

I have found that using a loofah and good deodorant soap in the shower every morning, including the morning in which you shave, has helped wonderfully, I rarely get ingrown hairs now. They occur due to clogged pores as you've probably heard, the idea is to use a real good razor, and shaving gel. After lather on a water based lotion, as soon as you get out the shower. And watch for any lotions with oil, although they smell wonderful, I've found they cause more ingrown hairs. Also under the arms, I use deodorant one hour after I shave, due to sensitivity. Following these tips work wonders, for me at least

What do you do about ingrown hairs?

Peeling shaved or waxed areas daily, prevents hair bumps. Use either a peeling shower cream or peeling gloves.

What do you do about ingrown hairs?

shaving irritates you follicles and causes this stuff. try waxing - at least once in a while - it removes the hair cleanly and eventually will start to thing the hair out so you don't have these issues at all.

What do you do about ingrown hairs?

Both shaving and waxing can cause ingrown hairs.

Here's some important things to remember ESPECIALLY after waxing:

-Be sure that the area being waxed or shaven is clean.

-Apply a bit of baby powder to the area being waxed to keep the wax from sticking to your skin as much.

-DON'T use lotions, oils, or anything with fragrance on the area for about 24hrs or more. Those kinds of things are one of the biggest causes of ingrown hairs, bc once you've shaved or waxed, especially when you've waxed, your pores stay open for awhile and those products tend to clog and/or irritate the pores, causing the new hair growth to go in the wrong direction - into your skin.

-Instead of lotions, oils, or fragranced products, use a fragrance free, cooling aloe vera gel, immediately after waxing and for a few days more.

- There are also special creams/gels that you can purchase at your local drug/beauty supply store that help prevent ingrown hair that you can use afterwards.

-The next few times you shower, use a loofah to exfoliate the area, this keeps things from clogging your pores and also helps keep your skin from growing over the open pores.

-Now, you may still get ingrown hairs, there are also creams/gels for treatment of ingrown hairs that you can also find at drug/beauty supply stores.

-Another thing you can do is use sharp tweezers to carefully remove the thin layer of skin from on top of the ingrown hair, once you've done that, you should be able to pluck the ingrown hair easily, afterwards, apply a little of the fragrance-free cooling aloe vera gel to calm the area. Removing the ingrown hair with tweezers should be done as soon as you notice it, otherwise the layer of skin over the hair may become too thick.

Also here's a great site on hair: http://www.hairfacts.com/index.html

These bumps on my legs with hair curled inside it?

Okay, so I think these are ingrown hairs, but I'm not sure. Has anyone had this problem before, and how do you get rid of them, besides waxing?

These bumps on my legs with hair curled inside it?

Yes, they are ingrown hairs. Waxing will not get rid of them, since the hair is still under the skin. Any hair removal method (shaving, depilatory creams, waxing) can make ingrown hairs more likely, but they can happen all by themselves too. Just another annoying fact of life!

Be careful treating ingrowns if you have sensitive skin - using exfoliants like scrubs or hydroxy acids can make your skin more irritated. Personally, I like to use Neutrogena pimple treatment pads (I think they're called Rapid Clear) that have salicylic acid in them. If you have sensitive skin I'd recommend a gentle (orange) Buf-Puf pad used with an antibacterial cleanser.

These bumps on my legs with hair curled inside it?

Well I recently got ingrown hairs too, and I think I got them when I started waxing, I've heard that exfoliating will help, as well as pulling them out with a needle but most likely if you pull them out with tweezers or needles, it'll get infected.

These bumps on my legs with hair curled inside it?

Yes, those are ingrown hairs, sometimes they come out on their own, sometimes they make little zits that you can rupture and the hair comes out, if they are really bad, you may need to have a dermatologist take them out. I've heard rubbing deodorant stick on your skin after shaving prevents them, but I haven't tried it. If I were you I'd go see a derm. and he/she will be able to tell you why YOU get them, and then you can take appropriate action. There are some products on the market that claim to help with this...but I haven't tried any myself. Perhaps some people will get on here and recommend over the counter products to you if you haven't got money for a skin dr

These bumps on my legs with hair curled inside it?

It楹搒 ingrown hairs. Exfoliate and resist the urge to use a needle! You can end up with a scar if you don楹搕 know how to use it properly. Or an infected hair follicle.

How do i prevent getting ingrown hairs in unspeakable area`s?

male or female? If you keep them cut short they probably wont, you can also pull them, or have electrolysis! You can also shave a different way, or don't shave!

Some people have more of an issue with them than others as there hair is curly!

Some say it is caused by the way the hair grows and I agree with that, however I have seen a lot of ingrown hair in places that were never shaved! In women it is usually around the pubic area where they shave and it curls and grows under the skin! This is partly due to the fact it is curly hair! The hair can be removed and there are a lot of things on the market that say they prevent it! I would be careful about spending money on those! About the same as herbal Viagra!

Sometimes if you take some tweezers you can pull them out from under the skin and they wont grow back in until you shave again!

How do i prevent getting ingrown hairs in unspeakable area`s?

make sure you are clean there always, exfoliate but not just before or just after shaving, get a good razor, and make sure you moisturize.
