Gently exfoliate with a scrub or a loofah, also I know the name is funny, but there is a product that is called Coochie Cream and it is specifically made for this purpose. They sell it at stores like Lover's Lane and it works great.

When you shave, make sure you have been in the shower a bit or use shaving gel since it softens the hair. Also, shave in the direction the hair grows, not against it.

I use Nair and that greatly reduced the amount of ingrown hairs I was getting. Just don't leave it on for longer than recommended, it can dry out your skin and burn a little.

It's best to have been in the shower or bath for at least 10min before shaving. Also, using a scrub or exfoliant can help shed dead skin for a smoother shave. That or try using a gel or cream remover instead of shaving.

Well, a tip I use for shaving without irritation and ingrown hairs, is i have to use the single blade razors, and NOT the double or triple. *Works on bikini line too*
