Why do you get ingrown hairs??

I am talking about on my face when I shave, and yes I know how to shave, with the grain. I use the 5 blade razor handheld razor.

You think it would help if I switched to an electric razor?

electric razors are actually less helpful. they just vibrate and cut whatever is in the way. Id say stick to the old fashion razors. ...um and you are supposed to cut with the grain FIRST. then you cut against the grain to get the closest shave.

Seriously try scrubbing your face with a sturdy wash cloth prior to shaving. You will make the whiskers stand up and easier to cut.
